Speech Control

There's a cancer growing in society, growing every day
It takes the form of something we use constantly, the very words we say
It's been said the pen is mightier, mightier than the sword
It can build up nations and educate, or it can start a war

JUST A SIMPLE IDEA
MIGHT COME TO BE A:
START OF A DIALOG TO ESTABLISH A GOAL
AND SOMETIMES OBJECTIVES
BECOME TOO SUBJECTIVE
THAT'S WHY WE NEED TO IMPLEMENT REAL SPEECH CONTROL

People spewing out whatever's on their minds doesn't make much sense
So many people and all of them are different makes our troubles immense
Extreme disparity of conscious thought only ends up in strife
A regulated mindset of the common man leads to a better life

We tend to dwell on things that threaten us instead of what is good
Pouring out our feelings on the internet, often misunderstood
But it's a tool that's easily handled wrong, like when it's used to destroy
The capability to reach out to a multitude, it can't be seen as a toy

WHEN SOME THINGS AREN'T SILENCED
IT LEADS TO VIOLENCE
AND YOUR RAW, EMOTIONAL WORDS LEAD TO BLOOD IN THE STREET
EVEN CALCULATED
AND CIRCULATED
CALLS FOR A REVOLUTION CAN TURN UP THE HEAT
